Its part of my promise to be there for my couples every step of the way! I get it, wedding planning is stressful, and lets face it, most of us only ever do it once. I will help you create a working timeline that will leave enough time to get all of your must have photos in, plus time to relax and enjoy your day.
I strive to create and capture candid moments, with natural laughter and smiles. Posed photos are great too, but I want you look back on your wedding photos and FEEL exactly how in love, happy and excited you were on the big day all over again.
PS. Dimly lit reception halls don't stand a chance with me, I have all of the best equipment, courses and hours under my belt to make sure that even your reception photos are clear, crisp and high resolution! (this is something I think is super important to ask your photographer)

Join me for a phone or email consultation whichever you are more comfortable with, where we will discuss all of your needs and create a custom package that is perfect for your wedding! During the call we will create a custom timeline, determine how much coverage you need, discuss all aspects of your day that you want captured and then I will create a custom quote based only off of your needs for your wedding!

The best part is all of our wedding packages come with a complimentary engagement session! This helps us get to know each other a little better and make sure we are the perfect fit for your wedding day. Let my guide you through my favourite prompts and poses then we can curate your wedding photography to fit you perfectly. This is the perfect opportunity for you to get comfortable in from of the camera, not everyone is a model, and thats ok!
Throughout the planning process I will be there for you every step of the way. Need timeline help? let me know. Need a suggestion for another vendor? DJ? Planner? Well, I've got a list of all my favourite tried and true vendors in the Edmonton area ready to recommend!

3. ask me Anything
On your wedding day, I will be there with you the whole day. If you don't have a day of coordinator to keep everything on time, no worries, I'll make sure we aren't running behind.
I will make sure we are on schedule, help you with anything that comes up, guide you through all of the getting ready, ceremony, and posing! At sunset we can sneak out for a couple more romantic sunset couples portraits too!
4. WEdding day!
This is the hardest part, waiting for ALL of your gorgeous photos to be edited and uploaded to a unique gallery just for you! Thankfully I know just how long of a wait it can feel like, which is why I have come up with a system to get you the best edits quickly! The night of your wedding, I will edit you 3-5 of the best photos as a sneak peek that you will have right away to post and let the world know, you are married. Within a couple days I'll have another 10-15 sneak peeks ready for you. The full gallery will be delivered within 8 weeks maximum!

Ember Dawn Photography was the absolute BEST choice for us for our wedding! From the engagement shoot, that was complimentary! It let us meet, and get to know each other which made the wedding photos so easy and comfortable! I wrote Katelyn probably 50 emails with my wants, needs, and fears. She over and above delivered far better than I could have ever hoped! My dream was to have a winter wonderland wedding, and against all odds, we had NO SNOW the week of my wedding. I was devastated days prior, Katelyn knew how important that was to me, and drove around for HOURS the night before my wedding searching for any snow options. She found the perfect spot, and I got the most GORGEOUS snow pictures. More beautiful than I could have ever dreamed. Her artistic eye, is so impressive. I was so impressed with the final product she delivered. It was also extremely important to me to have certain moments captured with I couldn’t keep my eyes dry looking at the beautiful in the moment images from the father daughter dance she captured. I decided to propose to my lovely girlfriend on trip to tofino (Vancouver island) and wanted some photos to memorize the occasion.
I was recommended Katelyn by a friend who had previously had her for a wedding. Upon looking into it I noticed she was located in edmonton. Now incase no one is aware Vancouver island and edmonton are a travel away( 24 hours if you realy follow the traffic signs)
The main reason this was a issue is cause my proposal was going to happen in roughly a 48 hour time frame.
So I scheduled a consultation with her to see if I was able to push this proposal a few days off.
Well let me tell you she not only understood my situation she was able catch the first flight down and make it for the Original scheduled date.
She not only setup a bunch of poses for us but also helped me make the moment even more special by introducing a surprise pose so I could pop the question.
After all of this, of course we brought her back out to the island for our wedding and were again blown away by how amazing she was!
Needless to say I was beyond impressed and would recommend her to anyone and can't stress enough how grateful I am for her timely response and quick service.
